Meet Frank Tabula! Frank was born in Watsonville and has been a part of the Watsonville/Santa Cruz community all his life. He has a brother, six children, and eight grandchildren! He loves to play football and basketball with the older kids. His family is very close, getting together on holidays and birthdays.
In his younger days, Frank drove bobtails and semi trucks, hauling pumpkins, lettuce, cabbage, and many other types of produce.
Running was one of Frank’s many passions. One year, he ran in the New Year’s Day Resolution run and the Wharf to Wharf run. Frank actually placed 3rd in one of 5k runs when he was fifty.
His favorite place to vacation is the Reno/Tahoe area. With so many activities to choose from, a couple of his favorites are riding bikes around Lake Tahoe, and taking boat rides on the lake.
Frank also enjoys following his favorite sports teams – the 49ers, the Giants and the Lakers.
When asked what he likes about living at La Posada, Frank relayed that he really likes our Bingo games. He also enjoys life here because “it’s super clean, and the staff are nice and helpful.” Frank feels very lucky to have found a home at La Posada.
What would Frank like to be remembered for? “That I am a grateful, nice, kind and respectful person. This is something I learned from my elders when I was young and it stuck with me throughout life.”
