My name is David Carota, and I am one of thirteen adopted children. I grew up in Aptos, moved with my family to Canada at fourteen, and then back to California around my thirtieth birthday.
I fell in love with hockey, while living in Canada. The Boston Bruins is my favorite team, and Bobby Orr is my favorite all-time player. I also like to play and watch football and basketball. I am a major sports fan.
When I was younger, I competed in the Special Olympics in Track and Field, where I won gold and silver medals in several events. I held the positions of Long jump, shot put, 100, 200, and 400-meter dashes, and hockey on the team.
I worked at Petsmart stocking shelves for twenty years. I liked my job, especially when the animals came for vet or grooming appointments. They were always so friendly and put a smile on my face.
My favorite place to travel is Hawaii. It’s beautiful, warm, and comfortable, with blue water and soft sand to walk on. I like all types of music, and as far as movies, horror films are one of my favorites, but I also like cowboy shows like Bonanza and Gunsmoke.
My favorite things about La Posada are the art classes – they are great, and I enjoy them. The food is also good, and, of course, the hot tub is great! I also like having the freedom to live here – I’m making new friends, which makes me happy.
