Meet Chef Jesus Avila, previously with the Crow’s Nest, a well-known restaurant in the Santa Cruz Harbor. He started with us part-time in 1999 and quickly worked his way up to his current position. Chef Jesus loves that “everyone works together as a team at La Posada”.
He is known for his innovative dishes, and we are always looking forward to his next new creation. He works closely with our dining room supervisor to provide a creative and balanced menu for our residents. Additionally, he guides the kitchen staff with the added challenge of providing dishes that are healthy, delicious, and pleasing to the eye, with an emphasis on fresh, local ingredients.
Chef’s favorite cuisines include Italian, Mexican, and German. He definitely keeps the menu interesting! Keep an eye out for upcoming menus!
