As for living at La Posada, Flo is very happy here. “I feel at home here. When my husband died in Denver, I couldn’t wait to get back to La Posada. I don’t just feel like a renter – this is my home”.

John was living in Southern California when he got the call from La Posada. He was glad to come back to Santa Cruz, as Los Angeles was very spread out and hard to get around. John likes La Posada because he has a built-in social life.

Pat finds great comfort in faith-based support groups, and says that being at La Posada “makes her feel less alone” and that she “finally has a place to rest.”

Nikki loves to dance and you might see her doing just that when we have guest musicians in the lounge or activities room. She has made many friends here and enjoys the camaraderie.

Summer has been a resident of La Posada since 2009. When asked how she feels being a long timer here, she remarks, “I’m proud of it. I like when people ask me questions about things”. She finishes, “I love La Posada.”
